It is important to note all of my characters are female. I have looked into male character creation for notes, but I am not as complete in my knowledge of their hair and customization choices.
As you explore the customization screen, keep in mind a few helpful user interface options:
Random - The randomize button at the bottom right will completely randomize all aspects of the creation. There is a padlock in each section of the customize window. If you like what you see, you can lock it down and hit randomize. In this case all but the locked areas will change.
Prebuilt - There are several prebuild models you can choose from using the slider at the bottom right. If you see something you would like to build on, you can change it at any time.
You can back out of the creation window at any time. Your creation will remain as long as you haven't reversed past choosing a race. If you back out further, you will need to rebuild your customization.
ETH
The Eth skin tones range from tan to Dark brown, as is fitting for their desert heritage. They have natural hair color choices with styles ranging from bald to bushy for men and pigtails to elegant soft curls for women.
Eth
markings are always found on their necks. Woman's markings are found
on the sides of their neck, sometimes reaching to their ears, while
men's markings are forward, sometimes reaching their chins and lower
lips.Eth are the only male Defiant race permitted beards.
When you are making an Eth, note some of the hair styles for women and men are somewhat glitched, with unintended scalp showing through.
Mathosia
They have natural hair color choices with style choices mirroring the Eth, though with lighter skin tone choices. Many of the customizations for Eth are available for Mathosian.
Kelari

Kelari
are a race of elves that have skin tones ranging from icy blue to dark
purple. Their hairstyles have similar coloring, but may also include
bright pinks, greens and whites. Kelari hair has both good and bad
points. Some hairstyles have a crimped effect and, while it looks
beachy, suggesting their island roots, it can look odd, especially
considering you cannot change the spot color. On the other hand, you
can get some of the prettiest umbra dyed hair. They have the largest
color pallet currently in game and many hairstyles that are unique to
their race. Kelari facial markings are centered around their eyes. You can customize their eye slant and ear tilt. Kelari men cannot have facial hair.
High Elves
As with almost all races, the High Elf hair and skin tones remains in the natural color range. High Elves, with their affinity to nature, have many hair styles that involve flowers that are unique to their race. Facial markings of the High Elves center around their eyes.
Bahmi
The Bahmi skin tones range from ice blue to deep purple. Their hair can range from natural browns to deep purples. Facial markings of the Bahmi are centralized on their faces, for both men and women. Bahmi alone can say the markings they wear hold cultural significant.
Bahmi
hair styles are a mixture of racial unique and shared. Some of their
styles expose unintentional scalp or look severely flat. Bahmi men can
have goatees and moustaches, but very few full beards.Dwarf
As with many of the races, Dwarves have a very natural color pallet for both their hair and skin tones. They have many of the same hairstyles as other races, with a few unique styles as well. Dwarf facial markings fall on the center of their face, crossing the bridge of their nose.
Male Dwarves have very long limbs and often very hairy arms.
